Troop C Police Blotter — Weekend Arrests Ending Oct. 13, 2013

The latest arrests relating to Ellington, Somers and other surrounding towns.

Arrest information is furnished by the state police Troop C barracks and does not indicate a conviction.

Vernon

Oct. 11

At 2:21 a.m., David Schmid, 43, of 4 Old Orchard Way, Tolland, was charged with operating a motor vehicle too slowly, DUI and a lane violation, state police said. 
He was stopped on Interstate-84, state police said.

Tolland

Oct. 11

Antonio Navarro, 27, of 466 Ash St., Willimantic, was charged with failing to pay a $450 violation, state police said.

He surrendered to troopers at 12:21 p.m., state police said.

Mansfield

Oct. 12

Jamil Ashe, 37, of 47 Emerald Ave., Willimantic, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, state police said.

Ashe was detained by the loss-prevention staff at Kohl's, 95 Storrs Rd., for an alleged shoplifting incident, state police said.

Oct. 13

At 4:11 p.m., an iPad found on the University of Connecticut campus was turned over to state police, according to a  report.
