Troop C Police Blotter — Arrests Ending Oct. 27, 2013

Here is a summary of the weekend activity from the state police Troop C barracks. Arrest information is furnished by the state police and does not indicate a conviction. 

Tolland

Oct. 25

State police said are investigating a burglary that took place on Center Road five days earlier. 

A home was burglarized sometime between Oct 19 and 20, state police said.
Silverware and jewelery were taken from the home, state police said.

Stafford

Oct. 25

Ronald Shaw, 56, of Cromwell, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, possession of less than a half-ounce of cannabis, and breach of peace at 6:47 p.m., state police said. 

Troopers were called to the Big Y parking lot after receiving a report that a man was frightening a 13-year-old girl, state police said. The vehicle in question left the scene but was later locales with the man inside it in that Big Y lot, state police said.

The man and vehicle were searched and narcotics and marijuana were seized as a result, state police said.

Mansfield

Oct. 26

Ana Conterno, 44, of Hebron, was charged with sixth-degree larceny at 4:30  p.m., state police said.

Troopers responded to a shoplifting complaint at Kohl's, and a subsequent investigation revealed that Conterno tried to leave the store without paying for several items, according t a trooper's report. 

Oct. 27

State police said that between 3 ands 4:30 p.m., a vehicle was burglarized while parked and unoccupied at Bicentennial Park.

Willington

Frederick Hajostek, 49, of Stafford, and Larry Toce, 44, of Willington, were both charged with disorderly conduct after being involved in an alleged altercation at the American Eagle Saloon & Cafe on Route 32, state police said.

Toce alleged that Hajostek, "put his hand on his neck and threatened his life," inside the bar, state police said. 

Hajostek said that Toce started it with a verbal altercation, state police said.
