Troop C Police Blotter — Arrests Ending Jan. 8

A round up of police arrests and incidents from the area, including Ellington and Somers.

Arrest information is furnished by the state police Troop C barracks and does not indicate a conviction. 

Ellington


Jan. 6

State police are investigating the theft of a snow blower taken from a home on Jonathan Drive in Ellington on Jan. 6. Anyone with information on this asked to contact State Trooper Jacob Bissaillon at 860-875-1522.

The Connecticut State Police responded to a home on Pinnacle Road for a report of an untimely death. A 70-year-old man was found deceased in his bed by a family member. The man was released to the Burke Fortin Funeral Home and his family was notified. Foul play is not suspected in this investigation, however the case is still open.

Mansfield

Jan. 7

State police are investigating a break-in at a home on Atwoodville Road in Mansfield which happened between 1 and 6 p.m. on Jan. 7. Items were taken from inside. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Woodward at 860-896-3222 ext. 8088.

Stafford

Jan. 6

Ronald Yves Roy, 62, 94 West St., Apt. 10, Vernon, was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and fifth-degree larceny after police said he was caught with a tub of old motors and generators on the grounds of Furnace Brothers garage in Stafford on Jan. 6 at 3:10 a.m. Police said Roy drove to the business and was attempting to steal the equipment. He was held on a $1,000 bond and is due in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 22.

Jan. 7

Arvind Persaud, 36, 1 Wales Road, Stafford Springs, was charged with threatening and disorderly conduct after police said he got into an argument with a women at his home on Jan. 7. Persaud was held on a $5,000 bond and was due in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 7.

Willington

Jan. 5

Nichole Mitchell, 22, 10 Village St., Apt. C, Willington was charged with violation of a protective order on Jan. 6. Mitchell was held on a $2,500 bond and was scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 6. 

Vernon

Jan. 7

Matthew Adanti, 33, 39 Clark St., Old Saybrook, was charged with operating under the influence, illegal operation without an ignition device and driving a vehicle with intent to harass or intimidate on Jan. 7 after police pulled him over I-84 in Vernon. Adanti was held on a $5,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 7.

Jan. 8

Ryan B. Danser, 34, 162 Village Hill Road, Willington, was charged with second-degree failure to appear after he was taken into custody on a warrant while appearing in Rockville. Danser was held on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 15.

Somers

Jan. 8

Steven Daunis, 37, and Kara Ruta, 31, both of 74b Main St., Somers, were arrested following a disturbance at their apartment on Jan. 8. Daunis was charged with violation of a protective order and was held on a $1,000 bond. He was due to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 7. Ruta was held on a $5,000 surety bond and is due to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 8.
