Troop C Blotter — Arrests Ending Nov. 13

Recent arrests with ties to Ellington and Somers.

Somers

Nov. 10

Michael Stephen Croft, 28, 657 Worcester St., Southbridge, MA, was charged with operating under the influence after police said he was driving erratically on Route 190 in Somers around 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 10. Police located Croft’s car at the Big Y lot in Stafford in which they determined he was under the influence. Croft was held on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Nov. 20.

Nov. 13

Fidel Salgado, 52, 100 Bolton Road, Somers, was charged with possession of a weapon on a correctional facility after police delivered him to Rockville Superior Court on Nov. 13 to be served a warrant for the charge. Salgado was held on a $50,000 bond. He was then turned back over to the state marshals to be presented in court.

Ellington

Nov. 12

Dustin D. Giordani, 34, PO Box 3003, Enfield, was charged with operating under the influence and a failure to drive right after police said he crashed into a fire hydrant at the intersection of Route 140 and Glenwood Road in Ellington on Nov. 12. Giordani was held on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Nov. 27.

Nov. 13

Shelly Doucette, 50, 90 Prospect St., Rockville, was charged with sixth-degree larceny after police said she tried to shoplift from the Big Y at 175 West Road in Ellington on Nov. 13. Doucette was held on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Dec. 2.

Mansfield


Nov. 9

State police are investigating a car break-in that happened at the intersection of Pine Woods Lane and Warrenville Road in Mansfield on Nov. 9. Police said someone smashed the passenger window in a car and stole a Dooney and Burke purse, valued at $325, as well as a $125 wristlet, credit cards, $10 and identifying information like a driver’s license and social security card. No one witnessed the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Troop C barracks at (860) 896-3200.

The Mansfield Resident Trooper’s Office is investigating a commercial burglary reported at the Husky Spirit Shop, 454 Storrs Road, in Mansfield on Nov. 10. Someone broke in through the glass from doors and stole two cash drawers. The incident happened between 10:50 p.m. on Nov. 9 and 10 a.m. on Nov. 10. Nov. 11

Michael S. Bertrand, 25, 103 Moulton Road, Mansfield, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on Nov. 11 stemming from a shoplifting complaint at Big Y on Storrs Road in Mansfield. Bertrand was held on a $500 bond. No court date was given.

Nov. 13

A Chevrolet Suburban was vandalized on Atwoodville Road Extension in Mansfield sometime between the hours of 9 a.m. and 10:05 a.m. on Nov. 13. Police said the Suburban was parked in a lot designated for hikers and hunters. Anyone who may have witnessed this or has information is asked to call Trooper Woodward at 860-896-3222 ext. 8088.

Tolland

Nov. 10

Victoria L. Gagnon, 50, 46 Eastview Terrace, Tolland, was charged with operating under the influence, possession of less than half an ounce of cannabis and speeding after police pulled her over on Merrow Road in Tolland on Nov. 10. Gagnon was held on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Nov. 25.

Police in Tolland are investigating a theft of jewelry from a bedroom at a home on Beech Road. The incident happened between Nov. 3 and Nov. 10.

The Champlion’s General Store at 2 Old Mill Court in Mansfield was burglarized sometime between 5 p.m. on Nov. 9 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 10. Anyone who may have witnessed this is or who has potential information is asked to contact Trooper Woodward at 860-896-3222 ext. 8088.

Willington

Nov. 10

Dylan Carrasquillo, 18, 166 Furnace Ave., Stafford, was charged with throwing objects at a car and operating under the influence following an incident at the Sunoco gas station, 467 River Road in Willington, around 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 10. Carrasquillo was held on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Nov. 27.

Vernon

Nov. 11

Baron Rico Fontaine, 24, 8 Becker Place, Apt. 4, Vernon, was charged with third-degree larceny after he turned himself in to police on Nov. 11. Fontaine was wanted on a warrant. He was held on a $6,500 bond and was due in Rockville Superior Court on Nov. 12.

Manchester

Nov. 13

Robert J. Bourque, 43, 3217 Oak Tree Lane, Grapevine, Texas, was charged with reckless driving and operating under the influence after police said he was clocked going 90 mph on I-84 east near Exit 63 in Manchester. Police later determined he was under the influence. Bourque was held on a $2,500 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Nov. 14.
