State police have identifiied the victim of the fatal motorcycle accident as Joshua Wetherington, 25, of 89 Pioneer Heights.

Connecticut State Police have confirmed that there was a fatal motorcycle accident on Saturday evening on Pioneer Heights in Somers.
The accident took place at 6:45 p.m. when a motorcycle, traveling at an unknown speed, left the roadway and continued to travel west in the grassy shoulder, striking a utility pole.
Police said that the operator, a man, was ejected from the motorcycle after the impact with the pole and was found 20 feet away.
The arrived on scene and administered medical treatment to the man, who was then transported to Johnson Memorial Hospital. There, he was pronounced dead.
The name of the deceased has not been released and police are investigating the accident.
