Somers Man Facing 79 Counts of Criminal Violation of a Protective Order

Matthew Joseph Frazier was also charged with stalking and harassment.

According to Connecticut State Police, a 21-year-old Somers man is facing multiple charges after an investigation of an alleged violation of a court issued retraining order.

Matthew Joseph Frazier, of 93 Sokol Rd., is facing 79 counts of criminal violation of protective order: threatening or trespassing, as well as a count of second-degree stalking and second-degree harassment: non-threatening.

The charges stem from an incident on Old Monson Road in Stafford.

Frazier is being held at the Hartford Correctional Center.

Frazier has been arrested before, including in December 2011 and August 2012.

In the December incident, he was arrested after a trooper was assigned to investigate a reported missing person complaint on Orcuttville Road in Stafford Springs. The complainant reported his 16-year-old daughter left the residence via an open bedroom window and that her whereabouts were unknown at the time. A thorough investigation into this reported incident led to the arrest of Frazier for violation of a protective order. Frazier was released from custody on a $500 non-surety bond.

In August, he was charged with breach of peace and criminal violation of a protective order when the victim, a 17-year-old female, reported that Frazier followed her through a trail in woods in Stafford, attempting to talk to her, while she was walking home. There is a standing no contact order through the court and when the victim would not talk to Frazier, he pushed the victim on the ground. He was arrested without incident.
