Fowl Play

The case: Police charged a Bloomfield man with first-degree larceny on April 23 for stealing from a South Windsor business, according to police.

The twist: 
The man stole a total of $10,000 in chicken wings from the business' warehouse, police said. He took loads of chicken wings on numerous occasions, police report.

Not Your Typical Goodie Bag

The case: Police charged a Glastonbury woman with two counts of risk of injury to a minor, possession of narcotics, sale of narcotics, two charges of transporting a child without a restraint, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school and the sale of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, according to police.

The twist: 
Police found the woman's "party bag" after the car she was a passenger in was stopped due to a cancelled license plate, police said. Officers found marijuana and two packages of crack cocaine in the "party bag," police report.

The case: Police charged a New Jersey man with breach of peace at the Mohegan Sun Casino on April 23, police said.

The twist: The accused pushed someone to the ground and then struck him in the face with a bagel, according to police.

"Pedi" Theft

The case: 
Police charged a Middletown man with fifth-degree larceny, according to police.

The twist: 
Police report that the man stole 102 bottles of nail polish from a CVS on April 18. The merchandise was worth $865.98, without taxes, police said.

The Sort of Friend that Bites You in the Back

The case: 
Police charged a Stamford woman with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and assault, according to police.

The twist: 
The accused was charged on April 25 after an in-person meet up with a Norwalk man she knew only on Facebook went wrong, police said. After the accused was asked to leave the victim's home, she picked up a rock and smashed his car window, according to police. The man tried to stop the accused, who then punched him and bit him in the back, police said.
