Updated: Quad Accident Sends Three People to Hospital
Connecticut State Police say the accident happened on private property on Main Street in Ellington.
Update, 11:15 a.m.
Three people were taken to Hartford Hospital with minor injuries after an ATV accident near the on Main Street.
One was taken via LifeStar helicopter due to the mechanism of injury, police said.

Police said the accident took place approximately 100 feet into the fields on the property.
The accident is under investigation.

According to Connecticut State Police, an early morning quad accident on Main Street in Ellington sent people to the hospital.
A spokesman for the department said that not much information was available, but that the police were on hand, treating the call as a medical, as it was on private property.
He said that the parties were transported to the hospital.
