Osborn Correctional Institution Officer Involved in Post-Parade Incident

Jason Beaudry, who works at the Somers facility, was involved in an incident with a Manchester police officer after the St. Patrick's Day parade on Saturday.

Jason Beaudry, a Department of Correction officer at the Osborn Correctional Institution in Somers, is facing charges of third-degree assault, third-degree robbery and second-degree larceny after Hartford Police say he knocked out a Manchester police officer after the two got into an argument after the Greater Hartford St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday.

Police said Beaudry was also found with the unidentified Manchester officer's wallet.

Lt. Brian Foley of the Hartford Police Department told Patch Monday that Beaudry and the unidentified officer had both visited "many bars" in the downtown area after the parade Saturday.

He said they got into a "dust-up" and that Beaudry punched the officer, knocking him unconscious. When Beaudry was arrested shortly thereafter, he was found to be in possession of the Manchester officer's wallet.

Beaudry was released on a $100,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court on the charges on March 19, 2013.
