Connecticut State Police are searching for at least two suspects who allegedly saw a woman near the UConn campus while driving on Sunday, stopped and then chased after her on foot.

On Sunday, state police reported that a woman was walking east on the westbound shoulder along Hunting Lodge Road in Mansfield at 9:15 p.m. There, a "sedan-type vehicle" of unknown make or model approached her, state police said. The car slowed down and stopped after passing the woman and then began to approach her in reverse, according to police.

The vehicle stopped again and someone exited it from the passenger side and began chasing the woman in an easterly direction, state police said. The woman was able to make it to her residence unharmed and later called state police, according to a report.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident can call state police at (860) 896-3222, ext. 8088.
