Enfield Target Fire Under Investigation as Arson

Target is expected to open its doors for business Tuesday.

Enfield fire units responded to a small fire at Enfield Square Mall's Target store Monday night, and now authorities are treating the incident as possible arson.

No injuries to mall personnel or customers were reported and Target is opening its doors for business Tuesday, but store employees said candles in the store's seasonal department were lit by a patron, causing the fire, according to a NBC Connecticut report.

Springfield's WWLP reported security camera footage is being used to figure out exactly what caused Monday night's fire.

One fire fighter received medical attention for a hand injury, according to WWLP.
