Ellington-Somers Police Blotter: Feb. 11-Feb. 17

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police, are accurate as of Feb. 18, 2011. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

Feb. 12

Jason Snukis, 31, of 112 Rye Hill Circle, Somers was arrested for disorderly conduct after police responded to the house for a reported disturbance between family members. There was no physical altercation or injuries, but minor property damage occurred during the altercation. 

Justin A. Newton, 18, of 11 Westland Rd., Ellington and a 17-year-old male, youthful offender were arrested. Newton was charged with third degree motor vehicle theft, conspiracy to commission a crime and evading: physical injury or property damage. The youthful offender was charged with conspiracy to commission a crime and second-degree false statement.

Feb. 13

Lawrence Smith, 32, of 53 Old Post Rd., Tolland, was arrested for second-degree harassment after being taken into custody following two harassing voicemail messages to a 32-year-old female from Ellington.

Feb. 16

An Ellington man reported an incident of reckless driving involving two vehicles on Jobs Hill Road in Ellington. The case is under investigation. 

Alyssa Aude, 23, of 24 Carpenter St., Hartford, was arrested for criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and threatening. Vernon police located Aude, who had an active arrest warrant out of the Ellington Resident Troopers office. Aude was taken into custody based on the power of that warrant.
