Ellington-Somers Police Blotter: Sept. 14-Sept. 20

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police, are accurate as of Sept. 21, 2012. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

Sept. 15

Sometime during the evening hours of Sept. 14 to Sept. 15, unknown persons entered a vehicle on Bradfield Drive in Somers and stole $130. The case is under investigation.

Sept. 20

A 29-year-old Stafford Springs man was traveling north on Pinney Street, south of Windermere Avenue in Ellington. The man made an evasive maneuver to the right to avoid striking an animal that was crossing the roadway in front of his vehicle. He lost control and subsequently struck a utility pole located off the right shoulder. The man reported minor injuries.
