Ellington-Somers Police Blotter: March 8-March 14

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police, are accurate as of March 15, 2013. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

March 8

A 43-year-old Ellington woman was traveling west on Snipsic Road, prior to Pinnacle Road in Ellington, when she lost control due to her speed on the snow covered roadway. The vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a tree of the south side of the roadway and rolled over. The woman suffered minor injuries and was wearing her seatbelt. She was given an infraction for traveling too fast for the conditions of the roadway. 

Cecilia M. Stone, 47, of 250 Mountain Rd. in Ellington, and Frank E. Stone, 41, of 145 Maple St. in Ellington, were both arrested after state police responded to 250 Mountain Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, it was determined that both the husband and wife had assaulted each other and both were arrested. The Stones were charged with breach of peace and third-degree assault. They were transported to Troop C in Tolland and given a Rockville Superior Court date of March 11.

The vehicle of a 57-year-old Windsor Locks man was parked in the Big Y plaza parking lot in front of Lucky Nails. An unknown vehicle struck the man's vehicle and evaded responsibility. The vehicle was unoccupied and sustained minor damage.

March 9

Robert Bijolle, 46, of 253 Jackson Rd. in Enfield, was involved in a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Mickey Finn’s in Somers. He backed into a vehicle in parking lot and then fled scene on foot. Bijolle returned and was subsequently arrested on DWI charges after failing several field sobriety tests. He was also charged with evading: serious property damage. Witnesses were identified who observed Bijolle operating the vehicle at the time of accident. 

March 12

Dominic M. Paternostro, 32, of 34 Charter Rd. in Ellington, was arrested after Troop C received a disturbance phone call from 34 Charter Rd. Upon investigation, it was determined that Paternostro was in violation of a protective order from his wife. A Connecticut State Police K-9 was utilized, which led to the successful apprehension of Paternostro. He was arrested, issued a $75,000 cash bond, processed according to departmental procedures, and had a court date set for March 12 at Rockville Superior Court. Paternostro was charged with violation of a protective order (three counts), third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree burglary, disorderly conduct, and risk of injury to child (two counts).

Victoria F. Schroder-Goldstein, 59, of 47 Michele Dr. in Somers, was arrested after state police were called to a disabled motor vehicle on Springfield Road in Somers. Subsequent investigation led to her arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and failure to maintain lane. Schroder-Goldstein is scheduled to appear at Rockville Superior Court on March 25.

March 13

Lonnie Everett, 57, of 49 Selleck St. in Stamford, was transported from Garner Correctional Institution to Rockville Superior Court so that an active arrest warrant could be served. He was placed under arrest on an active arrest warrant issued by the court for assault on public safety personnel. He was processed and held on a $150,000 bond set by the court. Everett was then turned back over to state marshals to be presented to the court.
