Ellington-Somers Police Blotter: July 27-Aug. 2

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police, are accurate as of Aug. 3, 2012. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

July 27

Stephen M. Donahue, 20, of 61 Main St. Apt. D in Somers, was transported from Garner Correctional Institution to Rockville Superior Court so that an active arrest warrant could be served. He was placed under arrest on an active arrest warrant issued by Rockville Superior Court for third-degree burglary and second-degree larceny. Donahue was processed and held on a $2,000 cash bond set by the court. He was then turned back over to the state marshals to be presented to the court.

Troop C is investigation a private property that took place on Main Street in Ellington. All parties involved - two 16-year-olds and an 18-year-old - were transported to Hartford Hospital for minor injuries.

July 30

A vehicle was parked in visitor’s parking area at  for the entire weekend. The vehicle was reportedly damaged in the left, front bumper at some point during the weekend while unoccupied. The incident is under investigation. 

July 31

Walter W. Griswold, 47, of 4 Gaynor Pl. in Vernon, turned himself in to Troop C on an active arrest warrant for an incident on Webster Road in Ellington. He was charged with criminal violation of a restraining order. Griswold was processed and released on a $3,500 court set bond and issued a court date of Aug. 1 in Rockville Superior Court.
