Ellington-Somers Police Blotter: Aug. 5-Aug. 11

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police, are accurate as of Aug. 12, 2011. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

Aug. 5

Jordan E. Dallacorte, 22, of 51 Meadow Brook Rd. Apt. 50 in Ellington, has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and traveling too fast for the conditions after being stopped while operating a motor vehicle. Dallacorte was taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests and was transported and processed at Troop C without incident.

Raymond J. Griffen, 39, of 33 Middle Butcher Rd. in Ellington was arrested on an active warrant. Griffen was arrested for breach of peace/fight/cause/capable of causing minor injury, third degree assault, second degree threatening, second degree strangulation, and second degree unlawful restraint. He was transported to Troop C where he was processed and released on a $25,000 bond set by Rockville Court.

A vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Somers woman was traveling southbound on Hurlburt Road north of Route 190 in Somers. The vehicle suddenly veered off the roadway, striking a utility pole and came to final rest after spinning around and landing on its side. The woman was transported by the to Johnson Memorial Hospital after complaining of pain. 

Aug. 8

Hector Ramirez, 35, of 171 Billings Rd. in Somers, was arrested for first degree sexual assault, first degree kidnapping, home invasion (dangerous weapon/explosive), and second degree threatening. Troopers responded to an address in Somers for a reported past sexual assault. The victim’s ex-boyfriend, Ramirez, was later located by troopers from the , Troop C and detectives from the Eastern District Major Crimes Squad. He was arrested and charged and a $500,000 cash bond was set.  

Aug. 10

An Anthony Way, Ellington resident is reporting items stolen from his unlocked vehicle. The case is under investigation.
