Ellington-Somers Police Blotter: Aug. 10-Aug. 16

Aug. 14

Steven N. Waterman, 55, of 50 Nunnawauk Rd., Newtown, was arrested by Connecticut State Police on an active arrest warrant for an incident on Bilton Road in Somers. Waterman was charged with threatening in the second-degree.

On July 31, a female stole three large containers of baby formula from the in Ellington, according to a police report. According to police, the female was later identified via video surveillance. The woman was later arrested at Big Y in Manchester, according to a police report. Ellington Big Y is looking to pursue charges, according to police. The woman has been identified as a juvenile, according to a police report. The case is currently under investigation.

Connecticut State Police are looking for Jessie Mote, 21, of Windermere Ave., Ellington. Mote’s father, Almend Mote, contacted Troop C Thursday saying that he had not seen his son, but had received a text message from him early that morning, according to a police report. Mote went on to tell police that his son’s apartment was open and that his car was missing, according to a police report. Mote told police he was concerned because his son had a substance abuse problem, according to a police report. Police said he is considered a missing person. Mote had not been located as of late Friday afternoon, according to Troop C.
