Pellegrini has been in office for four years and has overseen and monitored the receipt of $6 million in grants that translated to infrastructure
improvements and open space acquisitions as well as emergency management equipment. She testified in an accomplished manner

before the Legislature to restore PILOT funds, which add a minimum of $1.6 million to revenue each year – thus keeping taxes low.
She led the challenging efforts in the Emergency Operations Response to storms “Alfred”, “Sandy” and “Charlotte”, keeping Somers residents
informed and ultimately recovering FEMA reimbursement of $1.17 million – with much of the recovery work contracted to local Somers businesses.
Lisa generated a Prescription Discount Card for town residents which reduces Rx costs an average of 45% for those who use the card.
She obtained federal stimulus grants to expand solar panel installations initiated by the previous administration and
expanded the effort to the Somers Fire House, Somers Elementary School and the Department of Public Works.
Importantly, she implemented risk management policies that lowered insurance costs and reduced potential liability to the town –
thereby providing protection to town property – and improving potential safety and welfare of town residents and staff.
She has marketing and management experience that is useful in her advocacy for the town and in her decisive handling
of difficult issues that arise. She fights for every available dollar to use in the betterment of Somers.
