Wish you had more money?

Of course you do. Who doesn’t?

When you’re at home, money sometimes gets stored for a later date and accidentally forgotten about. Sometimes, it just gets misplaced.

Whatever the case, here are some places you can look around your house for some extra cash.

One place to look is in clothing. Have you ever stuck your hand in the pocket of a clean pair of jeans and found some money? Great feeling, isn’t it? Winter clothing is also a good place to check. Sometimes, when you’re putting away clothes for the season, you forget to clean the pockets out.

Sticking with the clothing theme, some people like to hide their money in their sock drawer. Check the back of the drawer to see if you put money in it and then forgot about it.

Couch cushions are also notorious for taking money (and other items). If you spend a lot of time on your couch, or other cushioned furniture, it’s possible that money has become lodged between or under the cushions.

Your washing machine and dryer are also good places to look. If you have change or bills in the pockets of your clothing, it’s likely that it will end up in the machines. You can also check under them to see if any money has fallen below.

Some people also hide money behind picture frames, taping it to the back or inside of the frame. People who do this typically forget about money here. How often have you put something in a “safe” place, only to forget where you put it?

Another place to check is under furniture or shelves. Money could fall under the furniture, and oftentimes, people like to tape money to the bottom of heavy furniture or on the underside of a shelf.

Some people just put things down on a side table or coffee table, and forget about them. If your tables are cluttered, cleaning up may result in some found money.

If you’re like most people, your purse is full of stuff, and sometimes, money can end up on the bottom – instead of in the wallet or change purse. If you often carry a backpack or laptop bag, money may have been shoved in one of the small sections and forgotten about.

You could also head out to your car and see what you can find there. Money can fall under the seats or show up in random places like the cupholders or glove compartment.

Where else have you found money you’ve forgotten about?
