Sonny’s Place Opens Brand New 7,000 Sq Ft Arcade

in Somers, CT has recently added to the already large amount of activities offered at their facility.  A brand new 7,000 sq ft arcade opened last week, just in time to offer customers an escape from the summer heat.  The brand new building was built in between the miniature golf course and the batting cages, and expands all the way to the driving range and tent where large group events can be held.

The games offered include old favorites like Ice Balls (a new twist on skee ball), air hockey, Frogger and a jumbo Connect 4 game, as well as new favorites like the always challenging Deal or No Deal and the superfast Fruit Ninja FX and Speed of Light.  There are also plenty of shooting and racing games to cleanse your palate, including Big Buck World, Terminator Salvation, Supercars, and Super Bikes 2.  Whether you like the classics or brand new games, racing or redemption games, you’ll find something to enjoy.  Once you build up your collection of tickets playing the games, there are a huge variety of prizes you can redeem your tickets for.

Also added in the arcade are 4 lanes of Rollerball Mini Bowling, a complete bowling experience shrunk down so the whole family can play.  It includes huge flat screen TVs for scoring, single or head to head competition, and couches so you can relax while waiting for your next turn or enjoying watching friends or family members take their best shot at getting a strike.

The arcade games utilize the new “Sonny Moni” cards, which are game cards customers can purchase and use to play a game.  They are now also used for the other activities offered at the facility, and can be used like a Sonny’s Place specific debit card, allowing for the customers to re-fill them as needed, or purchase just enough for one ride on the go karts, for example.  They make it much easier to go from game to game, or from activity to activity, since they all use the same card, meaning you no longer have to carry around hundreds of quarters or tokens.

Sonny’s Place also offers activities including go karts, an 18 hole miniature golf course, rock climbing wall, monkey motion (which uses a harness and huge springs, allowing you to jump up to 18 feet in the air in complete safety), batting cages with both softball and baseballs, and also a driving range with 19 hitting stations to go along with the new arcade.  They also offer a restaurant with plenty of food options off the grill and ice cream with a huge amount of flavors.  Birthday parties and group events with options including a tent and full catering are available upon request.  You can see a complete list of the games offered at www.sonnysplace.com or you give them a call at (860) 763-5454 for more information.
