"Irish Eyes" Were Smiling at The Somers Senior Center

Somers senior citizens really got into the Irish spirit at the Somers Senior Center’s St. Patrick’s Day Party on March 14th. 

Whether Irish or not, many of the men and women wore lots of green to add to the festivities. As they listened to the delightful array of Irish melodies performed by the “Irish to The Last Drop” singers and musicians, the large crowd of senior citizens joined in by singing along on some of the songs. 

With the emcee of the singers, Tom Curtiss, telling great jokes in between songs, there was truly lots of laughter in the air along with lovely music.

Following through on the Irish theme, Somers Senior Center staff members decorated the Center for the occasion and served a variety of “green” refreshments ranging from green cookies and candy pops to Irish Soda Bread and cake decorated with shamrocks. 

It was a fun-filled afternoon that will long be remembered.
