Swim Team- More than just a Sport

As a former collegiate swimmer I "get" the thrill of competition and the camaraderie between swimmers. In my current role I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of Swim team, but it is very clear that there is so much more to the sport of swimming- I see so much more. I see a swim team family within a greater family of members, volunteers and staff.
This special "family" practices together, they cheer each other on, the parents help with concessions, the parents act as officials, the parents and swimmers brainstorm on how to raise money for much needed tools to be a stronger team.

There is a lot that goes on behind the best times and won races. The encouragement, support and hard work come together to make swim team a great experience for all. Parents are cheering on their own kids, but everyone is pulling together to support all!

If you want to introduce your child to swim team, the Spring Summer Team is a great place to start. The season runs April 14, 2014 – July 25, 2014

Become the part of a team that prides itself on a supportive and encouraging environment designed to develop the swimmer’s spirit, mind and soul.
