Help a Mom and Pop Shop Get Heat

Renee Goodwin needs your help is raising funds through GoFundMe.

A mom and pop shop in Stafford Springs has no head and Renee Goodwin is raising money via the GoFundMe Web site.

According to the page on GoFundMe, the shop is a small specialty stained glass and handmade gift store. It provides local artists a venue to promote their handmade artwork, and also hosts monthly art shows featuring local artists and their work.

The page states, "We recently moved to a new location. We love our new location, but currently have no heat in our store. The building is very old (1860’s) and the heating system just can’t handle the needs of the building. The best solution we have come up with is to install a pellet stove, the most cost effective solution. We need to raise $4,000 to purchase and install a pellet stove. As a small mom and pop shop only in business for three years, it is very difficult to come up with this money and still keep the business running."

So far, $175 has been raised. To donate to the cause, visit the GoFundMe page.
