The mission of the Somers' Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is to serve Somers by supporting the local emergency services personnel in disaster, crisis and emergency response.
Somers CERT also educates the local community about disaster preparedness, trains people in basic disaster response skills, assists the greater community at public events and takes an active role in preparing the local community for potential disasters.
