Chili Cook Off Proceeds Donated to Somers Fire Department
Patriot Guard Riders CT also received a check from chili fest organizers.
The Somers Fire Department and the Patriot Guard Riders CT were the beneficiaries of this year's highly-successful New England Regional Chili Cook Off.
Organizers Michael and Kat Freedman presented each organization with a check for nearly $10,000 following the May 4 event which drew thousands of people to the Pleasant View Golf Center in Somers.
Freedman called it an “epic weekend” with all four current International Chili Society World Champions that won’t soon be forgotten, due to the friendships of all the cooks.
Numerous donors, including the Rockville Bank Foundation, helped support this year's event.
