Society Honors Long-Time Member Jeanne K. DeBell

For more than 45 years, Mrs. DeBell has been working in the Somers Historical Society, Inc.  She has been past President, Vice President and is presently the Curator.   DeBell is resigning her current position as Curator, moving West to be near her daughter in Washington.  During her time in Somers, DeBell has been involved with many of the major historic events in town.  She has co-authored two books on Somers History.  In 1984, she was one of the organizers of the 250th Anniversary of the town of Somers.
You are invited to come to the museum for tea and cake on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 1:30 PM to celebrate with us.  The museum will be open with displays from the Somersville Woolen Mill, Civil War, Indian Museum and the Four Town Fair.  Everyone is welcome.
