Pizza Bowl Coming!

Somers Rotary & Lions Clubs to Co-Sponsor 1st Annual Pizza Bowl

With the NFL football playoff games schedules for January
19, and the Super Bowl two weeks after that, it is only natural that the 1st
Annual Somers Rotary/Lions Clubs Pizza Bowl is being held on Sunday, January
26, 2014 at the Somers Elementary School Cafeteria. Local pizza shops are
providing their best pizzas to be sampled and judged by patrons and a team of
judges consisting of Scott Kaupin, Mayor of Enfield; Lisa Pellegrini, First
Selectman of Somers, along with fellow Selectmen Kathy Devlin and Bud Knorr;
Ray Pellegrini and Chief Judge, Michael Freedman, Chili Master.

Tickets for
the event are available through students of Somers High School from the
school’s Scriptura Club, the Beta Club, the Supporting Students Club, and the
National Honor Society. All funds raised through the ticket sales are being
returned to the students.

Come on out,
taste some good pizza, and support your local High School!
