Welcome to the "Weekday Walkers Club" at the Ellington Senior Center!

Welcome to the “Weekday Walkers Club” at the Ellington Senior Center! We will have an introduction to this new program on Wednesday, March 27th at 9:30 a.m. 

The agenda is as follows:

  1. Preparing to Walk - examine your health, what you should wear and what else may be needed
  2. Stretches and Mobility Exercises – a guide of simple warm up and cool down stretches
  3. Walking Technique – Proper posture and use of arms and leg motions
  4. Scheduling and Goal Setting – we will be starting with the “Absolute Beginner Schedule”; everyone is encourage to set their own personal goals
  5. Resources – maps, journals, online programs
  6. Questions, comments and suggestions welcome
