The Somers Republican Town Committee is proud to endorse Christina Anderson for the position of Town Clerk.

Christina is a transplanted Texan who has chosen to make her home in the color-splashed hills of Somers and brings extensive experience to the job of Town Clerk.

Born in Salt Flat, Texas, she attended a one room school house, graduated from high school in El Paso, and then joined the U.S. Navy at age 18. She became a Yeoman — a specialist in administrative and personnel matters.

She achieved an elevated security clearance and was responsible for handling sensitive material and records. She served the Navy in six different states and performed countless hours of volunteer service in the Adopt-a-School Program and the Adopt-a-Highway program.

Christina retired, honorably, after twenty years of service and currently is a member and officer of American Legion Post 101 in Somers. She has the requisite experience to serve as the town Veteran’s Service Contact. She currently works as an executive level admin assistant at a local corporation.

The past six years of work in this area have given her additional experience in complex administrative tasks and decision making. Christina has 26 years of career preparation for the job of Town Clerk and the Somers Republican Town Committee is pleased to endorse her.

David R. Drinan
Chairman of the Republican Town Committee
