Where's the Scariest House in Ellington and Somers?

Share your scary house photos and stories in time for Halloween!

If you're familiar with the area, it’s probably no secret that locals have reported strange ghostly occurrences at the now defunct Mansfield Training School in Storrs, a place meant to "provide for the care, custody, education and employment of mental defective (feeble minded) and epileptic persons" when it first opened on July 1, 1917, according to the Connecticut State Library.

Last Halloween season, an episode of Paranormal Witness on the SyFy network chronicled the events surrounding “Mansfield Mansion,” a residence on Stafford Road in Mansfield that is said to be no stranger to paranormal activity.

But every scary house doesn't have to be haunted - and everyone has a memory of that creepy house in the neighborhood that they ran past every day on the way home from school.
