Somers Grand List Increases
The 2011 Grand List increased 1.31 percent over the 2010 Grand List.
According to Somers Assessor Patricia Juda, the 2011 Grand List increased 1.31 percent over the 2010 Grand List.
The additional assessment of $10,710,827 would generate an additional $236,923.49 in tax revenue at the current mill rate of $22.12/$1,000.
Real estate increased $4,168,702, or .57 percent, personal property increased $1,824,230, or 9.49 percent, and motor vehicles increased $4,717,895, a 6.7 percent increase over last year.

Fourty-four percent of the increase was due to the increased motor vehicle Grand List, 17 percent of the increase was due to the increased personal property Grand List, and 39 percent of the increase can be attributed to the increased real estate Grand List.
