More Snow on the Way

Residents can expect snow to begin early on Saturday.

There's more snow on the way.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for the Northeast, with particular attention to Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania.

According to Weather.com, snow is expected to begin to fall in Ellington and Somers early Saturday morning and continue through the afternoon.

Total snow accumulation in Ellington and Somers is expected to be between 2 to 4 inches.

The weather advisory issued is in effect from 2 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 21.

The Department of Motor Vehicles is canceling all branch office road tests for Saturday due to expected inclement weather and poor road conditions. Anyone with a scheduled road test can call the DMV to choose a new date. The numbers to call are 860-263-5700 if someone is within the Hartford area and toll-free 800-842-8222 for those outside the Hartford area. The DMV is also attempting to contact customers with road test appointments to advise them of the schedule change.
