According to Images of America: Somers, from the Somers Historical Society:

"Somers Center School, or the White Brick School, stood where the Kibbe-Fuller School is today. Overcrowding was relievedfor a time with the temporary use of two freestanding buildings (one called the chicken coop) before the new Kibbe-Fuller School was built in 1929."
