Test your knowledge of Ellington and Somers history with this photo from the archives of the historical societies.

Where was this home?

Here's a hint, it is in Somers. As a bonus, who did it belong to?

If you think you know the answer, respond in the "Leave a comment" box below this article. We'll run the answer next week, along with a new historical photo.

The image has been provided by the Somers Historical Society.

Last week's question was "What Was This Building?" and there were several correct guess. It is the old Somersville Elementary School that is now Somers Academy-The Grammar School.

According to Images of America: Somers, from the Somers Historical Society:

"The Somersville Elementary School, located at 18 School Street, was built in 1933 with Works Progress Administration funding. It replaced the old District No. 6 school, the Spiritualist Hall (razed), and the Legion Hall, which was moved loser to the millpond. The building was sold in 1998 to the privately run Grammar School at Somersville."
