According to Images of America: Somers, from the Somers Historical Society:

"In 1835, Frederick Loomer bought land at the intersection of Maple Street and Pinney Road and built this brownstone blacksmith shop, which he ran until 1860. Later blacksmiths included his son Otis, Henry Rogers, and Lambert Cady. It is now a thrift shop operated by the Somersville Church Ladies Aid."
