Ellington Farmers' Market Moves Indoors

Ellington Farmers' Market will once again partner with Indian Valley YMCA for its winter Farmers' Market to be held in the YMCA lobby on Pinney Street in Ellington.  Many locally produced foods including dairy, beef, seafood, pork, poultry, a wide variety of baked goods, cheeses, greens and specialty sauces will once again be available for purchase.   The partnership between the YMCA and Market was a resounding success last winter, and the leaders of both community organizations are eager to team up again. I can’t say enough about how great an experience we had last year; the staff at the YMCA was very excited and enthusiastic about our presence, and we are anxious to once again offer a winter market to our community.
The winter market opens November 8 and will be held every other Friday from 4 - 6 PM through the end of March. Vendors include the popular Luann's Bakery, The Fish Market featuring a wide variety of fresh-caught New England seafood, Smyth's Trinity Dairy, and vendors selling produce, pork, beef, and chicken   Artisan soaps, locally crafted pottery and pet pastries will also be featured with specialty items available for the holidays.   For more information and a list of winter market dates, visit www. ellingtonfarmersmarket.com                                .
