Ellington Farmers' Market bringing out the Race Track again.

Our sleek wooden race track returns for our first annual pumpkin and winter squash drag race this Saturday at the market. The zucchini 500 race was such a huge hit in August that we decided to dust off the track and use it again. Get your pumpkins and squash decorated and ready to ride down the track to victory, but remember, the track is only 6.5 inches wide, so don't select the fattest pumpkin in the garden as your vehicle of choice! Our friends from Fabyan Sugar Shack are back with their yummy maple products, and Center Lumiere with their lovely Haitian craftware and Ruth Chiveflower's beautiful jewelry designs will be guest vendors as well. Jeff Snow, multi-instrumentalist, musician and storyteller will provide entertainment. Don't stay inside this Saturday morning! Enjoy the gorgeous crisp fall warmth and join friends and neighbors for a cup of Luann's steaming hot coffee. Bring your baskets and reuseable bags and stock up on late-season produce as the market nears completion of its outdoor season.
