Axis901: Tour this Innovative Manchester Work Space at Wednesday's "Beer, Burger & Managing Your Bucks"
Their tagline is “Come Work Alone – Together.” It’s an apt description of Axis901’s distinctive feature as a “coworking” space. Cowork places are a relatively new trend in office space. They are designed to offer entrepreneurs and small businesses the standard necessities – desks, meeting rooms, wifi, printers, scanners, copiers and, of course, coffee. In addition to that, though, they come with an instant community of like-minded individuals…which means other business owners with whom to brainstorm, float new ideas, share experiences and get feedback. Added to this mix is the benefit of extreme flexibility: you can rent a little or a lot of space, for as little or as much time as you need.
At Axis901, for example, membership levels include everything from a 5-day pass to full-time, 24/7 access. And meeting rooms can be rented on an hourly or daily basis. All use of space includes internet, office and meeting room equipment, a coffee break room, storage bins and lockers and free parking at Manchester’s Cottage Street parking lot. There is even a quiet loft space for reading and reflection. Among the facility’s current members are web marketers, e-commerce firms, business strategists, app developers, authors, and software engineers.
Tours of Axis901 will be offered from 5PM to 6 PM during the networking hour at February 19’s “Beer, Burgers & Managing Your Bucks” at MCC on Main in Manchester. Axis901 is located on the floor right above MCC on Main (903 Main Street). Lisa Powell, a representative from the Small Business Administration, will also be on hand in the gallery to discuss the resources available through the SBA for anyone considering or ready to embark on the entrepreneurial path. At 6 PM, a panel of four entrepreneurs will discuss the challenges and rewards of running your own business and respond to attendees’ questions.
