Winter Farmers' Market Opens Friday

The market will run every other Friday through March at the Indian Valley Family YMCA. You don't need to be a member of the YMCA to attend the market.

The winter version of the Ellington Farmers' Market will begin its first winter season on Friday.

The market will run from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Indian Valley YMCA. You don't need to be a member of the YMCA to attend the market.

The public is invited to attend this market which will take place every other Friday through March. The schedule is for the market to take place on Nov. 16 and 30, Dec. 14, Jan. 4 and 18, Feb. 1 and 15, and March 1, 15, and 29.

Local products from 15 vendors will be available including seafood, bakery items, dairy, cheese, produce, soaps, specialty foods, and artisan products.

Glad you found it. The Indian Valley Y is the YMCA that covers this area so you should be able to participate in much more than the farmer's market. Best, Megan

Penny, glad to see some (albeit few) smart people are working in Hartford for the people and notRead More just for their political careers! Since the large majority don't pay attention, it is important that we continue to educate people on what our representatives are doing in Hartford. Keep up the good work, and thanks for taking the time to write this article.
