Somers Business Relocating to Storrs Center

A Somers clothing and accessories store is packing up shop and making its move to Storrs Center.

oneTribe will open in Storrs on Friday, Aug. 23.

“Opening a new store in Storrs Center is a big move for me, but one that promises to be fantastic!," Sandra J. Calvo-Rouette, proprietor of oneTribe, said in a prepared statement.

Calvo-Rouette originally opened oneTribe at 21 South Rd. in Somers, but made plans to relocate when the opportunity arose to open in Storrs Center, according to a news release.

The shop features names like Billabong, O’Neill, Quiksilver and Roxy, and will open daily, except Mondays, according to a news release.

Howard Kaufman, Storrs Center developer and managing member of LeylandAlliance, LLC, said he was "excited" to see a clothing store come to Storrs Center.

"Their commitment to clothing that is attractive to a wide range of ages and lifestyles will benefit Mansfield residents and visitors enjoying the true college town atmosphere now taking hold in Storrs," Kaufman said in a prepared statement.
