Soon, residents of Somers and the surrounding towns will have a new place to work out.
Anytime Fitness, a franchise owned by Michelle and Greg Scanlon, will be opening in a 4,500-square foot space in Somers Crossing. Victoria Clark, of Connecticut Commercial Realty & Select Homes, who represented Somers Crossing, said that the facility should be open this spring.
Construction is underway and the owners expect to be on site soon to answer questions regarding the facility and membership.
The gym will join Cutting Loose Salon at Somers Crossing, Geissler’s Supermarket, Kaman’s Wines & Liquors, and ECHN in the plaza.
“It is a welcome addition to the Somers community and surrounding towns,” said Clark.
According to Clark, the high-tech fitness facility will be open 24 hours. She added that the 24-hour access is protected by a state-of-the-art security system with access granted only to members.
She said that the facility will feature the newest cardio equipment and free weights, plus a group exercise room that members can use for a variety of activities.
Anytime Fitness is an international franchise with over 2,000 centers around the world. Members of the gym have a right of entry into every Anytime Fitness location.
