The "extreme-value" retailer for teens and pre-teens, will open its doors at The Plaza at Buckland Hills this Friday, March 16, with freebies and giveaways extending through the weekend.

Five Below, the leading retailer of extreme-value merchandise for teens, pre-teens, and beyond, and one of the fastest growing retailers in the U.S., is at it again in 2012. On Friday, March 16, the retailer will open three new stores, the first of 50 planned openings in 2012 – including its new Manchester location.

The new stores are located in The Plaza at Buckland Hills, at 1510 Pleasant Valley Rd. in Manchester; Waterford Commons, at 917 Hartford Tpke. in Waterford; and the Dedham Mall, at 340 Providence Highway in Dedham, MA. With these new locations, Five Below will operate three stores in Connecticut and eight in nearby Massachusetts.

“Over the past two years, Five Below has experienced tremendous growth and nearly doubled in size. We are eager to open these three new locations and kick off what is going to be another momentous year for our company,” says Five Below Co-Founder and CEO, Tom Vellios. “This spring we are going to cross the 200-store threshold, and over the course of the year, we’ll open over 40 additional stores, including a dozen in two new markets.”
