Are You Shopping This Black Friday?

Some stores opened on Thursday night while others opened early on Friday morning. Were you in the crowds?

Many people were out late on Thursday and early on Friday morning to ring in another Black Friday.

Some Ellington-Somers Patch readers said they wouldn't be part of the crowds - either because they didn't want to deal with the crowds or because they don't agree with the practices of the retailers - while others were looking forward to it.

"Love going on Black Friday," one reader said. "I will also be working at the store. It's my favorite day to work in retail - it's fast paced and usually a very cheerful day. I like going shopping and [we] always go!"

Gizmo - Manchester Patch's Top Dog - said he doesn't go shopping on Black Friday, but will be at the Manchester Pet Supplies Plus on Black Friday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., raising funds for pet rescues. Gizmo T-shirts will be available at a discount and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated.
