The sudden closing of the Hazard Grille in Enfield last week has left many holders of gift certificates wondering what to do with them.

Patch called the office of Attorney General George Jepsen Thursday, and was given the following directions by a staff member:

  • Include a photocopy of the front and back of your Hazard Grille gift certificate;
  • Mail to Attorney General's Office, attention Public Inquiry, 55 Elm St., Hartford, CT 06105.
Meanwhile, management of the Olive Garden Restaurant, located next door to the Hazard Grille, are offering a discount to holders of Hazard Grille gift certificates.

Tim Connelly, Olive Garden general manager, e-mailed Patch, saying:

Guest must provide proof of current balance. HG gift cards must have been purchased prior to April 27, 2013. We will honor this through the month of May.
