Wall of Honor Nominees Must Be Submitted by July 1
Anyone wishing make a nomination can call the First Selectman's Office at 860-870-3100 or visit the town's website for an online application.
Nominees for candidates to be added to the Ellington Wall of Honor must be submitted by July 1.
"The Wall of Honor, located in Arbor Park (Main Street), recognizes deserving citizens for exceptional contributions to the Town of Ellington," according to an Ellington news release.
Anyone wishing make a nomination can call the First Selectman’s Office at 860-870-3100 or visit the town's website for an online application.
Applications that have been submitted in the past three years will be considered with this year's nominees.
"The Board of Selectmen Policies Committee will review the applications and recommend a recipient to the Board of Selectmen at their July 21, 2014 meeting," according to the news release. "The recipient’s name will be engraved on the Wall of Honor and unveiled at a public ceremony on Sept. 6, 2014, prior to the Fire Department’s parade."
