VIDEO: Humane Society's Pet Of The Week

One year-old Terrier/Mix is available for adoption.

A furry, four-legged friend of the Connecticut Humane Society is looking for a new home this Fourth of July weekend and its staff is hoping that you can help.

Burt is an one year-old Terrier/Mix who enjoys the company of children above the age of eight, cats and dogs and can live in type of housing included apartments. He is "playful and loves to cuddle," according to the Connecticut Humane Society website.

"He is a little bundle of fun and joy," said Public Relations Director Alicia Wright Friday morning.

The young pup would require mandatory training and an owner with general experience with dogs.

"He is still learning so he will need to continue his training upon adoption," according to the Connecticut Humane Society website.

If you are interested in Burt or any of the other animals at the Connecticut Humane Society, log onto its website to see a gallery of all the adoptable pets and to learn about the adoption rules and procedures.
