Pit Bulls Available in Ellington, Somers

These sweet little guys are being housed at Ellington Animal Control and Somers Animal Control.

Both Ellington and Somers animal control officers have pit bulls available for adoption.

In Ellington, the pit bull is a very sweet dog who just wants to be right by your side and loved. He loves to give kisses!

When he was let out to run around, he acted like he didn't know what to do with himself and the staff at said that he reminded them of a baby giraffe the way he was so uncoordinated.

He is a little malnourished and lacks muscle tone and was probably kept in a crate a lot.

Assistant Animal Control Officer Ashlee Leone says that he is young, playful, goofy, and is a very nice dog, but still needs to be taught some manners, like no jumping.

In Somers, the pit bull is a young male, under a year old, who is not neutered.

Officer Eric Boucher said that dog is always happy to see him, but has had no previous training.

According to Boucher, he is in need of a home soon, as he is starting to get a little rambunctious being cooped up.

If you would like to give him a home, contact Somers Animal Control at 860-763-0623.
