Meet Freckles, an Abandoned Cocker Spaniel

This little guy was left to fend for himself and is now at the Ellington Animal shelter.

Freckles, an adult male cocker spaniel, was picked up on a cold, rainy night at the end of Webster Rd. in Ellington - almost into the state forest.

He sat on someone's front steps at one of the few houses on the end of the dirt road. He tried desperately to get someone to let him in but he was so matted and muddy he had to wait until animal control arrived.

After bringing him to the shelter, it was found that he had a microchip, and that the microchip was registered to a resident of Rockville - ten miles from where he was picked up.
