The last question was "What Organization Did These Men Belong To?" and there were no guesses. They are charter members of the Hatheway-Miller Post 62.

According to Images of America: Ellington, from the Ellington Historical Society:

"Hatheway-Miller Post 62 was formed after World War I in honor of Sgt. John E. Hatheway and Private William Miller, who were killed in action in 1918. Shown from left to right in this 1920 photograph are charter members Joseph A. McVarish, Harold J. Patric, Wallace W. Bergh, Clyde A. Cordsten, and Carl A. Goehring. The post was responsible for the organization of the Ellington Volunteer Fire Department in 1928, and raised $5,000 for its first truck, a 750-gallon Childs pumper. The first fire chief was Legion member Theodore A. Palmer. That first, used truck was kept for 18 years and housed at the former John DeCarli property at the corner of Main Street and Tomoka Avenue."
