Who are these people?

Here's a hint, they're from Ellington.

If you think you know the answer, respond in the "Leave a comment" box below this article. We'll run the answer next week, along with a new historical photo.

Last week's question was "What Was This Building?" and there were a couple of guesses. It is the Crystal Lake Hotel.

According to Images of America: Ellington, from the Ellington Historical Society:

"The Crystal Lake Hotel was built on the west shore of the lake in 1890, just south of the present State of Connecticut public boat launch. It was a popular summer resort with bath houses and a dance pavilion operated by proprietor William Bowler. The hotel was damaged by a fire in 1935, which was one of the first fought by Crystal Lake Volunteer Fire Company No. 2."
